For my mod I need a way to essentially change the players model but I don't think that's possible without heavy coding (which i don't know how to do) So i've just been using armour to mimic a biped entities model changing without having to create an entirely different entity. Now I have to do the same thing for players but with players we all have different skins and the armour cant mimic the model changing like it can for the modded entities. Is there a way to somehow create an armour that will use the players skin as a texture?

The first part I think you can just use blockbench or something similar to make custom models and use them for entities, but I have no clue how to make the player skin texture work.
(I went to this page to see if there was a way I need an item that shows the players hand)
