I am trying to put any item into a GUI slot while playtesting my mod via MCreator, the item does not go in.

I am trying to put any item into a GUI slot while playtesting my mod via MCreator, the item does not go in.
you can turn on or off whether or not people can put items in the slot. there are also 2 different types of slots and i dont think you can put items in one of them
