Custom Block/Item Models from Blockbench not working

Hi, I've recently tried to export a model as a .json from Blockbench 4.4.2, to use in MCreator 2022.2.

When I load the game up and look at the item or block, it is simply the 'missing texture' block with the pink-and-black appearance. Can anyone help me with this issue?

This is surprisingly not the case for .java models for entities, as those have worked just fine.
