Help taming a creature as it spawns

Trying to have it work like this, and the entity just never gets tamed by the player, and although the player will be in gamemode spectator i've tested it with gamemode survival and it still doesnt work
I'm trying to have the entity constantly update its current position to the player, but i dont know how else i can do this
