mods.toml missing metadata for modid

Issue description

The title says what's happening. When I launch forge, it says "mods.toml missing metadata for modid"

This only happened after I changed a few things in Workplace Settings and even after changing them back, the problem persists. It happens when I launch it from MCreator and the Minecraft Launcher.

It seems you changed modid and something strange happened during the rename. Go to:

<workspace dir>/src/main

  • resources
    • assets - delete old modid folder there
    • data - delete old modid folder here
  • java/net/mcreator - delete old modid folder there

Hey sorry if I'm late to the party but I've run into a similar problem and don't quite understand the instructions. I've tried deleting the file located at the specified place but it isn't working for me. Could I possibly get some help?
