I have made a mob and i have made it so i only spawns in my custom dimensions but it's spawning under the map how could i fix that?

I have made a mob and i have made it so i only spawns in my custom dimensions but it's spawning under the map how could i fix that?
I was thinking when they spawn in tp them up a few blocks but that would be messy and laggy
Anyone have suggestions?
Is there a better place too post this were someone will respond?
