How I make a ranged mob whit custom attack?

I'm making a ranged mob but it's to weak and I don't know how to make it stronger. 

Can you please help?

Umm... increase the mob's health/armour/attack strength/movement speed/ make it apply buffs to itself when hit/ spawn minions when hit.
