I don't know if I should count this as a bug report or just my own ignorance or what. However, I made a custom mob today (with a custom model) for the first time that is less than 1 block tall. But when I place a block over it in-game, it suffocates. I tried adjusting the hitbox, no dice. Dunno if it could possibly have something to do with the model having a weird 'eye height' for some reason (don't know how to change that if that's the issue. I just saw in some Minecraft Forum bug report things that odd eye heights have caused problems for vanilla mobs in the past.) Don't want the poor little mob to suffocate. Any help is very much appreciated.
Issue comments
Oh gee. I think some of my brain cells didn't make it through that whole comment. Yesterday was my first day using MCreator. I didn't understand at least half of that... I'd attach the workspace--if I knew how to do that. I have no idea at all what could be causing the bug and therefore I don't know how to produce or reproduce (perhaps this question belonged on the help forums in the first place), I just know that it occurs every time the mob is in-game and it has occurred since I created the mob yesterday. I haven't any other information to tell, other than a workspace or log I suppose, and I believe I'm still a bit confused on how to attach those. The log, like, the console log? The whole console log? Should I start the game first? Should I not? Am I missing the point entirely? Can't shake the feeling that I am.
When possible, attach your MCreator workspace (or even better a minimal example workspace required to reproduce the bug), game logs (full logs, do not crop them, in text format, not screenshots of logs) from the Console tab or terminal and steps to reproduce the bug in your workspace. If logs are long, use service such as Pastebin to host the log and provide the link to the log from the ticket. Please specify which mod elements to check in your workspace too, if applicable.
