I suggest that you upvote it if you want to see it! But it’s probably not going to happen due to the reasons that Klemen has listed, but who knows? It might just happen anyway.
You could make a custom block with a procedure that instantly turns it into a barrier and then put that block into the creative tab. :)
What do you mean by that?
He means that you could make a block with the barrier texture. Then when the block is placed you just make a simple procedure under "When block placed" that replaces the block with the actual barrier like this:
