GUI textbox initial value missing

GUI textbox initial value missing

hey guys,

I am making a GUI to set NBT numbers for blocks. in the design view, i made some text boxes and set the initial value. but when i open the GUI in game, the initial values are not showing at all. 

 

I am on 2020.2, is this a bug or i am doing it wrong?
