Topic category: Help with MCreator software
(I am trying to install the legacy 1.12.2 generator plugin, this is against the recommendation but I don't think that is what is causing the issue)
Whenever I attempt to load a plugin as in : click on "Load plugin..." then select my zip and click open, nothing happens, the window closes and then nothing happens.(or changes) I wish I could give more information but literally its just not loading the plugin or even awknowledging that I gave it a plugin at all.
update : it is in the Users/username/.mcreator/plugins folder but it just doesnt show up (or allow me to create a workspace)
What file did you put in the plugins folder? Make sure to match version of MCreator and that you are not putting plugin repo instead of plugin zip in it
Hey! I had this problem but realized i downloaded 2020.4 instead of 2020.3. Try that instead.
How do you get the 2020.3 version?
Just download it? There is litterally a download button on top of the website with Version 2020.3 on top of download page
Sorry I miss understood that. I thought it was for the 1.12. I am sorry. I should have known it was the current one lol
I'm having a somewhat similar issue in 2020.4 [also trying to use the 1.12.2 generator plugin] where if I have the plugin .zip in the .mcreator folder, MCreator fails to load properly and the window is just blank and white.

my version is 2021.1 and it doesn't want to work.
Oh neverming my version of mcccreator us actually 2020.5
My MCreator is 2021.3 and my plugin is 2021.1-v3.0.0 but i still cant load it
why?
