Topic category: Help with MCreator software
I'm trying to use MCreator 2020.4 with the 1.12.2 generator plugin. I have yet to see any success on my end, because of the following issues: whenever I have the plugin in /.mcreator/plugins, MCreator acts like it's working and then proceeds to a blank white window. With some testing, I figured out that when I remove the plugin from that location, MCreator works again with no problems. Also probably worth mentioning that before the error occurs, MCreator gets stuck on "Loading UI Core" and doesn't get any further. There are also instances in which the White Window error does not occur, but the Plugin does not register as being there. I am not sure if anyone else has had this issue as far as I've searched. I did post a comment somewhere else on this site about this, but I figure it's better to make a topic dedicated to this problem.
I don't know if it's the same for everyone else, but I have been putting my plugins in the install directory, not /.mcreator/plugins....
Oops meant to have this with above post..
Find your install folder that has the mcreator.exe file, then put your plugins in that plugin folder.
I'll try this and see if it works, thanks for the info.
I've now tried this, only to find the same problems happening. Everything I have said previously still applies to the situation. Thanks for the suggestion either way, though.
are you using the right download for the 1.12.2 generator?
Don't do this
Provide <user home>/.mcreator/logs/mcreator.log contents when you run MCreator with desired plugins installed.

Here's an update on my situation: Something came up recently, and in short, I'm on a fresh new install of windows. After newly installing MCreator, I downloaded the plugin and everything worked, including the plugin. Later, I end up closing out of MCreator. When I tried to open it up later, it got stuck on "Loading UI Core" and I got the White Window error I spoke of previously, including the occasional times where it does load, only this time the plugin does work.
