I think adding custom recipe types would be good.
For example, adding a grinding recipe type, that would turn ingot to dust. Now, we can't do that in a simple way. We have to use default recipe type like crafting, smelting and so on.
And like it is custom, we can add a special workbench for making special armors or tools for example.
Would be good, don't you think ?
You can use procedures and GUIs to make custom crafting tables.
