I am trying to export my mod but it exports to 33.2 mb for some reason and has less elements than all of my other mods so i am confused? does anyone know how to help me?\

Please give us as much information as you can to help. Screenshots, amount of elements, how you're exporting it, how many resources you have included, etc.
Even if your mod contains less mod elements than another mod, they don't define the size of big mods. A big file can be caused by different things like the structures (they can easily be bigs), the number of sound files you have, if you have big custom models (really complex).
Also big textures can quickly bump size into 10s of MBs
