sorry for the big header lol

I'm just passing through, don't really mind me. Just gonna drop an announcement that I will sooner or later be uploading a unique (kinda?) yet minimal dimension mod, which will be my very first publicly released mod, made with Mcreator. Still in very early development, though i just started it about 12 days ago...

lol i've already added one actually, it's called the Burnstorm. sorta like the blaze, except it's stronger, faster, and it uses a custom model with "fire" spinning around it.

the only problem is that i am having so much trouble adding a constant Y axis rotation animation for its "whirling fire" (or so i named it) body part, since i'm a complete beginner at mob animations. i'll upload a screenshot of the mob later tho.

If your using blockbench, for the "Whirling Fire' make sure the pivot point is in the center of the mob and the block is attached to the body (Using grouping).

about that, I already centered the pivot tho. and it's grouped properly as well afaik.

what I meant was that i can't find a decent constant Y axis rotation animation template (code) for the whirling fire. anyone know how to animate a constant axis rotation?

if its already set as a constant Y axis rotation go into the code of the mob, scroll down to where you can see public void setRotationAngles(Entity e, float f, float f1, float f2, float f3, float f4) [This might be slightly different to yours] and underneath there will be the the animation stuff. Find where Whirling Fire is and mess with the xF (x means a number btw) variable not any of the f-f4+.

The Whirling Fire will be layed out a bit like this:  this.whirlingFire.rotateAngleY = f2 / 20.f;

just a question tho, is the f2 parameter in setRotationAngles sort of the one used in constant living animations or is it something else? i wanna know so that i could improve animations next time.
