How do I add a potion procedure to my sword that I made?

I want to add a potion effect to my sword whenever I hold it. But, I have no idea how to do it. SOMEONE HELP!

Just add a potion effect to "event/target entity" with duration 1 when your sword is in your inventory (trigger inside your sword setting "when tool in hand tick")
