Blockbench with Geckolib can't export Animated Java Entity

I've been trying to make custom animations for models I've made in blockbench with the Geckolib plugin following this tutorial https://mcreator.net/forum/66357/feders-geckolib-plugin-tutorial But I wasn't able to export my model as an Animated Java Entity but only had the option of Geckolib Model which I think is Json. From what I know Mcreator can only create modded entities with .java format so I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to do this or maybe a better option for creating custom mobs with custom animations. Thanks so much!

did you make the mod with a modded entity model or a java/block model? you have to make it in a modded entity model. don't worry you can convert it for a java/block to a modded entity. to convert it click file then click convert project then change the format to modded entity.

I made it with a modded entity and then converted it to a Gecklib Animated Model.

I'm a little late but make sure that you have blockbench 3.6 installed and not an older version.

Geckolib doesn't support animating java entities anymore. There is an older version of the Geckolib plugin but you will need to download an older version of Blockbench
