how do i make a block function as stone

so i created a new ore,its supposed to spawn in my new dimension,the copper dimension,it dosent? i assume tis cuz the underground is copper,not stone-type,go to set a custom copper block that code-wise functions as stone,that isnt an option in common tags,how do i make the custom block stone-typed
