I'm trying to make an apocalypse mod and I thought it would be great if I could have nightmarish blocks spreading throughout the world. How would I make them convert other blocks?
Hey! I have something similar to this. It's a block that when it is placed, it has a chance of converting blocks that are next to it into the same block, have a look:

In every tick, there is a 20% chance of transforming the block to it's right to coarse dirt.
How do I make it spread to certen blocks?
