[1.12.2 / 2020.4] Auto-filling tank

Is it possible to have a fluid tank auto fill itself with liquid at all? As it stands out, I want to make a "well" which can store large amounts of water and produces it slowly, but it seems that blocks can't trigger the fill function.

Neither 1.12.2 nor 2020.4 are supported anymore, but 2020.5 has some new fluid management procedure blocks that could help

FE or NBT?

  • in case of FE:on tick:if is time to add:put fluid in
  • in case of NBT:on tick:if is time to add:set nbt to (get nbt) + desired amount
