www.photopea.com is a free photoshop alternative. If you can get the original texture, put it in there. press the image button (it'll bring you to a dropdown). press adjustments. press hue and saturation. press colorize (that will reset it to grey). then tweak the sliders to your liking and download it.
the built-in texture editor has a recolor tool but it's a bit hard to mess with
