I made a helmet using blockbench, but in the game, it should be on my head but for some reason it is in the character's chest.
How can I fix that?

you made a humanoid model
delete the humanoid model and leave the hat only
I don't know if I'm right, but I think it may be the position of the axis that is there in your block bench. Place it centered in the correct middle of your helmet.
I solved the problem by messing with the pivot points.
