Help Me With A Procedure

I need a Procedure where i put a battery item in the top slot of the gui and then coal on the bottom slot it will recharge the battery but only to 1 less then maxed out due to issues with the mod and when i make one myself it wont stop at the durabilaty i want and it wont stop removing the coal i put in so is there any way i can get help with a working procedure?
