I have made a custom dimension. Sometimes switching the dimension makes me spawn inside of a block!
Is there any way to make it so that I spawn on the surface of the dimension and not inside a block?

this should work, if it doesn't, tell me.
did you put that procedure in the "when player enters dimension" procedure?
no?
did that and I don't seem to be spawning in a block anymore! TYSM!
no problem ;)
What if i want to keep the X and Z of the player and spawn him at a certain Y in the dimension that will most likely be filled with blocks? I have tried lots to make 3 blocks with the same x and z as player to be replaced with air/removed upon player's entry, but no matter what i try i keep ending up in blocks.
If you have your procedure clearing the blocks around the player and it doesn't seem to be doing that, it might just not be running the procedure at all. Could you show me the procedure somehow, maybe I could help you debug.
also, this page is 8 years old lol.
its really primitive for i want it to stay like that

UPDATE!!!
I fixed it by specifying the dimension with a block DO (block deletion code here) IN A SERVER-SIDE WORLD ---
