Assistance in creating procedures

Good day, I don't know if this is the right section if not then I apologize.

I really need help with procedures because according to the wiki on the official website and various guides after creating a procedure and assigning it to the item that is to use it, right click on block should highlight elements such as world x y z or block and item. but none of these elements highlight, which is why creating the procedure I need is probably impossible for me as a layman. I even tried to import a ready procedure to Mcreator.. theoretically it imports it, but in practice it does not add anything to the procedures. I kindly ask for help. Thank you and best regards
