How would I go about making energy for a nuclear power mod?

So I am new to the Mcreator software and wanted to make a mod based on nuclear power. I know how to make all the blocks I want but I don't understand how I would make the energy part of it. I have watched the video about energy but I just don't understand it so if someone could explain it in simpler terms that would be much appreciated.
