Hello! I started to work on an old mod called "Any Dimension" for 1.16.5! That guy stopped working on it so I decided to remake it. Also, the crafting is much easier. Only one ender-eye and one flint and steel and your desired block and then here is your desired portal igniter! What do you guys think? Should I continue it? Or is it bad to remake someone's mod?
(Also my English got worse, it was much better than before, so sorry)
Progression: around 27%

if you keep it updated and make sure Every block is included, it sure can become well accepted, but I would recommend making it even harder than the original one since it is surely overpowered
one last suggestion, if you do make it, make sure to not over simplify the dimensions as so many of them could require 8+ Gb RAM (8Gb RAM is what it is recommended for almost all modpacks)
4*Gb I meant
I meant it could occupy 4+Gb RAM
Hm. What do you mean by it? The dimensions only show in the custom portal when you are in it. You can't spawn in it
Oh, you mean it like that. The biomes are simplified. It has only the fluid and the block which you made the portal out of.
Also, I'm taking attention for the lava/water. If it's wood then it's gonna be water etc.
yeah so the player would have an entire room of portals, that is where it could cause lag
I made an invisible particles for that. And also only a black portal frame
I would actually not play it, but I am sure that thousands of people would for videos or challenges etc
Hey RexCerv, where can I check how many RAM does the mod uses?
F3 when on client with a mod on
it should say on the right Memory using or smt like that
also Task Manager could work, but F3 is better
Is there no way to see which mod uses the RAM?
forgot to mention, test it with and without the mod, but it also depends on your CPU and if your PC is hot or not, so it won't be exact
