How do i fix the error : Could not initialize class org.codehaus.groovy.reflection.ReflectionCache

So i have downloaded the mcreator plugin which allows you to make spigot plugins with mcreator,when i try to make a new project almost everything goes fine except this
 Could not initialize class org.codehaus.groovy.reflection.ReflectionCache

Any help would be really appreciated
