Mod config/settings feature

A lot of mods have a config which you can reach in the mod options. What if you could customize this in MCreator. It would attach to a variable which you could use in scripting and for things like generation options and whether things will generate naturally. I would love if this is added in 2022.1 when it comes out! Have an amazing day!

From what I know, it's not something planned soon, but if you are okay with using plugins, File Manager can make config files. Technically, they will not be configs, but they would work exactly like it (creating .json file with data which player can change and which will change mod's behaviour).
I may do tutorial on it here too, but it will be a bit later, when I get used to new update.

But as for general topic, native support for config files would be amazing, especially if there was such option to opt out some items or recipes depending on it. But that would be a lot of work and probably would turn like really sophisticated option a lot of people would barely understand. Iirc this is why it's considered as low priority for now, especially with this plugin existing.

File Manager works on a world to world basis, so it is hard for modpack devs to use it.

File Manager provides blocks to use files. The plugin is not world based. You can easily make a config file for your mod directly inside the .minecraft/configs folder if you want to.
