I am having problems with body and head armor models
both arms, leggings, and feet are looking perfect, but the body and helmet are wrong, and I can't understand why (the pivot points are the same as the player's model)

just found out that my leggings are breaking my chestplate's model and texture
this is me without the leggings (the helmet is still broken)

I have the exact same problem.
Basically MCreator mixes the usual helmet and chestplate model with your custom ones, while still using the same texture for both. Does someone know how to fix this?
What Minecraft version are you using?
I'm using 1.16.5, I don't know about DorkBah.
1.16.5 too
Alright, I fixed the leggings simply by removing them (inspired by Vic's Modern Warfare mod, where leggings use the boots slot)
This made them look like they should: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/809875082440605726/9675341893962…
But the helmet is still broken, so I am gonna try to find out how to fix it for now
Hoping someone can help me 🙂
I think I have an idea to still use the leggings. What if you make to different armor elements, deselect leggings for one and deselect everything but leggings in the other. I haven't tested this out, it just popped up in my head, let me know if it worked.
yep, it worked: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/807347294399758337/9676059241581…
kinda makes sense because the leggings model is a bit smaller than the others
but I still couldn't find out how to fix the helmet
maybe changing the textures at the uv mapping so they are not in the same position as the minecraft's helmet texture can help
it almost worked: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/926966032260825098/9676113087049…
I will keep experimenting, maybe I will make it just one texture for all the pieces, idk
if anyone wants to try it, I would appreciate it
I found out a way to counter this bug: When making a specific armor piece, for example helmet, none of your helmet's texture should be in the UV mappings of the vanilla helmet.
I only figured this out for 64x64 texture sizes, so I don't know what will happen for other sizes.
nvm, it doesn't work
i did it and i almost worked
