How about Nijino Ore?

Ore that is multi-colored when mined drops Nijino Crystals which is used to refract or concentrate light. Maybe make a light staff that has Nijino Crystals that shoot burning light beams. The staff's strength depends on the surrounding light level.

You should also make it so that the player could configure the color of the light beam based on the colors of the visible light spectrum.

I came up with the name "Nijino Crystals" where Niji is the Japanese word for rainbow (used google translate). I added a "no" to make it sound cooler to make "Nijino".

I have a few ideas! I'm a…

I have a few ideas! I'm a lover of ancient mythology and fantasy so I know of quite a few cool ores that you can freely use without running into like fantasy fan mod territory!

Adamantine - said to be nearly indestructible, this metal is favored in making armor and sheilds! It originally came from Greek mythology an which a sickle was formed to be used ny Kronos to erm. . . Perform a crude amputation. . . (I'd go into more detail, but may get banned from the forums for NSFW content) on a freaking titan! The same metal was also used to make the chains that bind Promethius. It is also written about in the Bible, where it is said to be the metal used to forge the very gates of hell! So yeah, this is some super tough stuff!

DnD manuals show this metal as being either greenish gray in color or a duller slate gray.

Oricalcum - First written about by Plato when writing about Altlantis, this mysterious metal has been ascribed many interesting properties depending on the lore it comes up in. It is considered to be latently magical which has allowed it to gain a whole host of fantastic, and often opposing, properties!

Originally it was described as being reddish in color, then gained a golden hue as it was later described as an alloy of gold and mountain copper, in the Elder Scrolls series, the metal has an olive green hue!

It is also sometimes shown as a type of glowing crystal, notably this occurs commonly in the Harvest Moon series.

Mythral - also spelled Mithril. Mithral, and so one, this metal is said to be very lightweight and yet surprisingly durable! It is a favored material to make light armor that doesn't encumber the wearer, and also to make amazing blades for folks who favor swift, nimble fighting styles. It was first written about in Lord of the Rings, but has become ubiquitous to pretty much all fantasy stories since, like much of Tolkien's work!

It is typically shown as being a very reflective Silvery blue or cyan material.
