Hello, my Minecraft mod, The Arcaneum has a biome called "The Barrens" and since updating to my workplace to 1.18.2 I have not been able to find the biome spawning anywhere.
I have tried countless solutions.
*Changing the spawn weight
*Altering the biome settings
*Creating a similar biome (That biome didn't spawn either)
I don't understand what I am doing wrong, but any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated because it is greatly affecting the my update progress. PLEASE, respond to this forum if you have any information for possible troubleshooting or solutions. Thank you.
Have you double checked that your mod has been set to a dimension because they did add support for nether biomes in the update and that might of messed something up.
Can you elaborate? What do you mean by "set to a dimension"
When you go into a custom dimension page there should be a thing on it that will tell you what biome it generates and on biome pages at the end have a vanilla dimension generation section
1.) Make sure in Biome Generation tab, you have Overworld checked.
2.) Minecraft changed the way their biome generation works and kinda sorta caused issues.
3.) Try playing with ALL biome settings and maybe increase the biome weight by a significant amount. Maybe make a test workspace to do it in.
4.) You could use the TerraBlender MCreator plugin, but it can be a headache at times to use.
I've further noticed that, for whatever reason, biome generation is not properly working. Biomes seem to want to generate at any Y coordinate for whatever reason. I've had biomes spawning underground without them being marked as an underground biome, similarly, I've had them attempt to generate at Y:200+ so, there's your issue.
One of my biome location commands took me to Y:237, and it was still a birch forest, my biome wasn't there. So there is definitely a bug somewhere.
