Maybe add an automatic crafting stones tag that has the blocks cobblestone, cobbled deepslate and blackstone so you can easily make stone tools without having to make 3 different crafting recipes? This should be an easy one to add too, as its not too complicated.
That is actually already in the game! It's under the tag "minecraft:stone_tool_materials"
