Hi All
Looking for suggestion for tools and weapons to add to a large rpg style mod im developing (early version currently available on my profile)
Within the mod i have added server magic damage types so these can be included into the weapons
Types include:
- Force magic damage
- Necrotic magic damage
- Cold magic damage
- Acid magic damage
- Fire magic damage
- Lightning magic damage
New status effects can be included if you have ideas for such, i have also added some which i will detail below
Martial Skill: 10% x level to cancel any attack made against you, when an attack is cancelled this effect goes on cooldown for 1.5 seconds
Attack Block: Cancels the next attack made against you
Stunned: Can't move, attack, or place/break blocks
Free movement: immunity to stunned and slowness
Natures Fist: next attack will deal acid damage and stun the target for 1 second
Vampires Kiss: next attack will heal you for 1 heart x level
Thunder Touch: next attack strikes lightning and deal lightning magic damage
Disarmed: all attacks you make are cancelled
Grievous Wounds: Healing is reduced
Demoralised: Base attack speed is temporarily reduced
Burning Soul: deal fire damage in a small radius around you every 2 seconds
I would also like suggestions for other things you would like to see in a mod of this type
Creativity is highly valued and if your suggestions are used credit will be given in the mod wiki when the items are added there
Basic Maces have already been added
They deal high damage with slower attack speeds and have a 10% chance to stun a target for 2 seconds
1 handed
Basic 2 Handed Swords have already been added
They deal Really high damage with really slow attack speeds and have a chance to give strength 2 if the target has less that 16 armour
2 handed (removes items item in off hand and adds it back to inventory)
Basic Spears have already been added
Spears have lower damage with faster attack speeds. Slows targets with more than 15 armour and gives martial skill 2 when held

Basic Daggers have already been added
Daggers have really low damage with really fast attack speeds. give martial skill 1 when held. if held in the off hand will deal damage back to attackers within melee range

Thunder Bringer Axe
High damage
Mid attack speed
2 handed
Deals lightning damage to targets hit when entity has no blocks above head
Right click to gain Thunder Touch effect
Iron Forge Rapier
Mid Damage
Fast attack speed
1 handed
Gives Martial skill 1 when held
Right click to get attack block effect, low cooldown
The Flesh Ripper
Mid damage
Mid attack speed
1 handed
Chance to heal when attacking
Right click to get Vampires Kiss effect
Hand Ballista
Really high damage
Very low recharge rate
2 handed
Fires iron spears and has large knockback
gives user slowness unless given the "lightweight" enchantment
Defender
Off hand weapon that increases attack damage by 2 when held in the off hand
Wand of Thunder
Strikes lightning and deals lightning magic damage on up to 8 targets in a radius around you
(Damage can be increased if wizard class in wizard robes)
Wand of Burning
Shoots a ball of fire dealing fire magic damage
(Damage can be increased if wizard class in wizard robes)
Wand of Storms
Shoots a bolt of blue lightning dealing lightning and cold magic damage
(Damage can be increased if wizard class in wizard robes)
Katana
Mid damage
Mid attack speed
1 handed
right click to dash and deal damage in a small radius around you
Strength potion effect increases this damage, cooldown is reduced for shinobi class
I feel like a Flail would be interesting to implement.
If you don’t know what a flail is, it’s like a mace but instead of the spikey ball on the handle, it’s instead connected to a chain.
I say the mace automatically has max level sweeping edge, but if you swing the flail and don’t hit anything, you take damage from the flail.
