Downgrade a 2023.1 project to 2022.3

I wanted to test the 2023.1 snapshot for my main project but I am dumb so I didn't make a backup and I can't reopen it on the the Mcreator version I was using for it. I there any way to downgrade the Mcreator version of my project without breaking the project (I already tested to change the mcreator version in the project.mcreator file)

Don't do that, it will break your workspace

There is no way to go back if you did not make a backup.

Check the workspace folder/.mcreator/backups to see if there are any automatic backups made there.

Why do you want to go back, though?

If you did not have any yet, then you should be good to go. So far from bug reports it does not seem that it has many bugs

Hello guys, i found a way to downgrade from 2023.x to 2022.x:
1) Open the folder of your project

2) Find the "modname.mcreator" file

3) Open it with any text editor (example: notepad)

4) Find the string that says "mcreatorVersion: xxxxxxxxx" (at the bottom of the file) then change it in 2022 (if you want to downgrade it from 2023.x to 2022.x)

this worked for me and i recommend to do a backup of your workspace.

No problem found!
I can regenerate code, create a new element, and some basic things!
I recommend to backup your workspace because it's a bit dangerous
