Making armor without arms.

I've been having issues trying to make a chestplate without arms. I want to make a western mod and im trying to make a bandolier but instead of the model not rendering arms(what i want)...it just adds the same torso part to the arms. If there is a way to fix it please let me know but if there isnt..can it please be a feature that you could choose whether you can see arms or not.

Thats all thanks.

Yes this is easily fixable, are you using blockbench for the model? If so, you just need to make an empty folder in the model and call it something like "nothing," then you import it and select the model in the armors mod element. Then you'll need to open the "advanced chestplate settings" select the empty folder under "arm L" and "arm R," then it will be fixed!
