Vanilla recipes returning when other mods are played with.

I have removed the vanilla recipes for iron armor. when my mod is by itself, it works, but if there are other mods, it doesn't! I use jei to look at recipes and it seems like the recipe is just added by minecraft again? I have a different mod that does this but with bows and it works just fine, help!
