Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
Mcreator is an amazing tool for creating mods and much much more. And to that extent I think its dimension parameters could be imporved.
Now i don't know how plausible this is, but put simply dimensions feel too limited, when in reality they could be alot more. When you create a dimension there are a few .json files created with it. These files have very interesting parameters that could be useful to have more control over.
Image 1: Parameters simple set
Here we can se a lot of information but i think its pretty obvious what they are. Editing code in Mcreator can be difficult, as for instance changing your dimensions biomes and then having to re-lock your code etc.
If possible it could be better to have these parameters in the dimension settings, like advanced dimension settings. Where you can toggle these on and off and change height parameters too. Right now this is all grouped under imitate overworld behavior.
Image 2: Advanced Parameters
Here we get into the more interesting parameters. Now not all of these can be implemented but at least the true/false ones seem plausible.
- Mob Generation
- Noodle Caves
- Noise Caves
- Aquifers
- Deepslate
- Ore-veins
- Island noise Override
These would unlock a whole new level to dimension creation. A lot of people when they pick end like generation want massive floating islands, not the actual end, so being able to remove the limit of that dimension type would be amazing. And the other parameters would help people customize their dimensions to a whole new degree.
Now I understand that these are accessible through the code, but I feel that it would be better to have these parameters available in the main UI, so that there are a lot more unique dimension mods!
I am but a humble bug, but I do hope this is possible, at least to some degree.
Yeah I do think that this would be useful, all of these parameters are in the dimension's .json files so all they have to do is add some checkboxes that make things true or false. I bet they might add it in the future
Sorry that the images broke, i guess i didn't post them right
Bump
It's been 2 years, I guess they didn't see this yet...
