Souls work minecraft mod

Hello!

So when I was in bed last night I got an idea for a Mod where you harvest souls and use them for machines and other things. But I suck and can't think of interesting ideas for it can people give me some ideas? I'm kinda new to modding, I've been doing mcreator for a while but I never continued or put a lot of effort into a mod. So this is new for me! (:
