Mcreator crashes when starting client (2024.1)

Just asking for help troubleshooting. Every so often, on my fist time starting the built-in client to test the mod, it just crashes on loading. This has happened to about 4 or 5 mods, and I don't feel like I should keep developing the mods while this bug is happening, because what if there's some huge problem with a GUI or something? Has this happened to you, and if yes do you know how to fix it? (Forge for 1.20.1 if this helps)
