Topic category: Help with MCreator software
Hello, i am new to mcreator and i already tried to find an solution for this but sadly i didn't found it. I am trying to make an mod where i have 5 items (foods) and each of them give different random effects but at the end if i used any item (also from normal minecraft) it just activated all the effects and if i set "No additional trigger" instead of "Player finishes using item" it does nothing other than eating it. Does anyone know how to fix it?
In the item settings search for the "triggers" Tab, and make a procedure for the trigger "player finishes using item" then make the procedure give the effect you want
Checked it, on every item the right procedure is selected and sadly it somehow ignores it i think
Could you send a screenshot of the procedure?
Sure, here: https://imgur.com/a/l8QQHhh
replace "random number between min:1 and max:4" with "random number between min:1 and max:4 included"
Thanks, it works a bit better now, but i just realised while trying to drink the effects away that every item (even milk) activates it, do you also know a fix for that?

the global trigger in the procedure is set to "when player finishes using item" it should be set to "No additional trigger"
Thank you very much, there are still issues but 2 of the items are working like i wanted, just 1 more question, is it possible to set the effects infinite? Currently i am in the version 1.20.1 and if you use the command you can set "infinite", is it possible to do that in mcreator?
set the number of ticks to -1
Thanks dude, imma try that out, you really helped me a lot
you're welcome
