This Generator is built over the old official generator, but this one is NOT official, and is not being maintained by the MCreator Team.

NOTE:

From MCreator 2024.2 the folders where the textures are contained have changed: Blocks -> Block, Items -> Item, this change is necessary to have the functionality to refer to vanilla Minecraft textures

Why should i use this generator?

If you are using this version of minecraft, you will have many more features than those present in MCreator 2023.2, the generator will have full support so if there are any bugs they will be fixed etc. (unlike 2023.2 which is no longer supported). The generator also has a lot of backports (from new versions of MCreator to this one) regarding bug fixes on the generator. If you want to export your mod for multiple versions this generator is for you!

Regarding the generator v1.5.2 for 2024.2, can you guy add in the support for geckolib blocks and mobs? I want to port my 1.20.1 mod that use geckolib to 1.19.2.

you need to ask the creator of the GeckoLib plugin if it can support 1.19.2 (but I think he will answer no)

I'm having some issue where the ModBlockEntities class is throwing some errors

error: cannot find symbol

Nvm it was some issue with Nerdy's plugin blockstates when trying to add back the removed versions.

But it does look like the "get smelting result of" block is broken however

I legit had to spend around an HOUR removing the creative tabs from each separate item, seriously bro

like bro i deleted the creative tabs and i still got an error, i wont use this plugin again if this happens next time

Are you using the latest version of the plugin? If so then show me the error or at least tell me what it tells you

i am using the latest version, i dont have the error cuz i spent and hur fixing it, but it has something to do with deleting creative tabs, but it still gets errors so you have to go to each separate item/block and remove it too!

problem with version 2024.2
It is impossible to add creative tabs, even in the code new tabs for items are not displayed.

this feature was introduced in Minecraft 1.19.3 there is no way to port it to Minecraft 1.19.2 so I created a system that only takes the last selected Tab

Not sure if you're aware but there is an issue with mcreator not finding textures within the 'Items' folder but renaming it to 'Item' causes it to work.

I know, I only did it because, with this way I will be faster to update this generator to new versions of MCreator

Hello! While using the latest 2024.1 generator, I noticed that all my item and block textures were missing. After some investigation, I found that the generator's JSON files set the texture source to "block" and "item", whereas the workspace's texture folders are named "blocks" and "items". I spent some time fixing them (approximately), and now I have uploaded them to Mega. I hope you can take a look.

In the new generators the folders are called that way, so I renamed them accordingly in this generator too, to fix this bug you have to rename the folders and regenerate the code
