Topic category: Help with modding (Java Edition)
I've been trying to get this plant to generate for hours. I've seen nothing that helps so far, so I will be asking here
plant type is growable
max height is 14
ive tried with both optional list containing the blocks in the biome im trying to spawn it in, and with CAVE plant placement type
plant feature generation is enabled
frequency per chunk is 5, patch size is 64
ive tried both flower and grass generation type
and in restriction biomes i just have my own biome (it is underground, although with a lot of open space)
most of the blocks in my biome are stone/deepslate or magma
placing them manually on any block works, its just the generation that doesnt work. If anybody could help it would be so immensely appreciated :)
UPDATE: it does spawn, but INSANELY rarely, even with max frequency and patch size. Youd be lucky to even find a single instance of it spawning in multiple biomes. why this is happening is beyond me (also it always seems to spawn in weird spots or in caves without any magma or lava) (theres a lot of lava)
UPDATE 2: found the problem, it cant generate on magma. I dont understand how and why this happens, but if someone could find a workaround/fix for me it would be super great
Minecraft probably doesn't think magma can sustain plants..
Hm but stone shouldn't either..
is there a way to work around that and make it generate on magma anyways ? (i can manually place it on magma so i dont get why it cant generate there)
or is the only viable solution to maybe make a fake magma block that is near identical to the real one, so it can generate on it?
Maybe you could try making your plant into a structure and then spawning it with the feature mod element..
