I am getting an error when I try to install Mcreator 2025

I was running Mcreator 2024.3 for a while and finally decided to upgrade to 2025.2 for windows 64x. I first uninstalled Mcreator 2024.3 and then downloaded the exe installer for 2025.2.

During the part of the install where the files are actually being installed (little green bar progress screen) about 15% of the way in, I get an error for a missing file:

Error opening the file for writing:

C:\Program Files\Pylo\Mcreator\jdk\bin\extnet.dll

Click about to stop the installation

Retry to try again, or

Ignore to skip this step

Obviously, aborting wont help, tried that and tried re-running the install. Same issue.

Retry also just brings the same error screen back up as it fails again.

Cancelling continues the installation. But then I get hit with similar installation screens as the installation continues.  The next one is for:

c:\.......\instrament.dll

and then it keeps going...

...java.dll

...java.exe

...jimage.dll

...ili.dll

...jsvml.dll

...management.dll

...management_ext.dll

and so on.... There are also a few missing files from other folders.

If I push through the installation and hit ignore on the dozen or so errors, then it says that Mcreator is installed. I get the desktop icon.  But clicking on the icon does not cause the program to run.

If I go and look for the files that the program claims are missing from the folders, They are present and accounted for.

Not sure what to do.
