v1.3.0

This plugin allows users to easily create Block Entity Renderers (BERs) for their custom blocks allowing users to render items on their blocks using Display Slots that link to the blocks inventory slots for persistence.

This plugin works for both the MCreator default Block element and my Geckolib Reborn Animated Block element.

BERs can be setup to use procedures or you can simply look at the slot to fill it.

This is the biggest feature I feel is missing from MCreator so I hope you all enjoy!

IMPORTANT: This is currently only for NeoForge 1.21.1, if it is well received then I will add support for other generator versions.

Hey can I port it to 2026.3 (Snapshot) already as 2026.3 changed some code in there (I already ported LDLib2 Plugin of yours as well) and add NeoForge 26.1.2 myself?

When needed I could also provide my ported version with some fixes etc. (if needed of course).

1.20.1 Forge and 26.1.2 NeoForge support coming soon along with a Github repo so users can report issues there.

damn this is such a useful plugin but you dont support 26.1.2, hopefully ya do soon as this is an insanely useful plugin

Hey there! Sorry to interrupt, but unfortunately, the plugin doesn't work for me. It seems to corrupt my workspace, and I have to regenerate the entire build repeatedly.

I've tried it in multiple new workspaces and followed everything shown in the GIF, but I still get errors in the generated code. I also tried fixing the errors with AI, which allowed the mod to start, but the block itself was behaving strangely. The block in the slot couldn't be changed, and interacting with it played the item-frame removal sound.

My setup was:

GUI
Block
Block Entity Render

I had to manually modify:
ModBlockEntities.java
BlockEntityRenderer.java
BlockEntity.java

I'm not sure whether the problem is on my side or somewhere in the plugin, but I wanted to report it in case it helps. I really love the idea of this plugin and would definitely like to use it, so I hope it can be fixed!

PS: I used AI to help correct my grammar so the comment would be easier to understand.

I just want to emphasize once again that this isn't meant as hate or criticism. On the contrary, I really like the idea behind this plugin, and I hope we can figure out what is causing the issue, whether it's something on my side or something with the plugin.

Hello, im sorry this happened. This plugin is a very early Beta and was not given the proper attention it deserved. Unfortunately I have been very busy this last week with my new job but I will get to this as soon as I can

Well, I don't think so. I'll try enabling it, and then I'll try it with it disabled too ^^ I'll send another message in like 25 minutes. Also, don't be sorry ^^ It might even be my fault XD And congrats on the new job bro:D!

i tried enabling it and even disabling it, but unfortunately nothing worked for me. I even tried deleting the gradle and build folders
im no code expert (i just read code like english XD), but the debugger says that XBlockEntity doesnt have the getItemHandler() method
theres also another problem with the renderer:
required: BlockEntityType<? extends T>, BlockEntityRendererProvider<T>
found: BlockEntityType<CAP#1>, ZBlockEntityRenderer::new

so im not really sure whats causing it, it might still be something on my side, but i thought id mention the exact errors im getting

omg I have been asking them to implement this in mcreator for two years, thank you for this, can you please also add support for 1.20.1 forge generator, that is the most popular modern minecraft version for modding now, it's like 1.7.10 or 1.12.2 at that time, it's absolutely worth it to make support for 1.20.1 forge, please

Yeah, literally this and Prismora had nothing to do with ai. Geckolib Reborn started out just using ai, but it no longer does. the LDLib2 Advanced GUI was made mostly with ai. but i have not touched the LDLib2 plugin in weeks, and I have been updating GeckoLib Reborn myself since, so offence taken and i don't appreciate it at all. Side Note: my plugin icons were made with ai but im not a 3D artist and i don't care for that stuff much so i am ok with that. Make a plugin then come talk to me until then you know what your talking about so im not sure what say you think you have in this matter anyways.
