I think that there should be a feature on items for "throwable?" so that it would summon that item as an entity or something and you can change the acceleration and trajectory of the thrown item. right now ive tried to do a gun with 1 durability and "on right click, summon <ghast_fireball>" but it doesnt actually do anything.
I slightly remember making a mod like this, I will see if I can look into it and create such a thing again.
Does anyone know how you would go about making a throwable item. I am making a mod with alot of new weapons (spears, dynamite, etc.) and i need to be able to do that.

I need this too! I was thinking about making a more weapons mod, with spears, and maces, and daggers, and throwing knives, javelins, and so on... Diamond Throwing Knives wouldn't work very well unless you could actually throw them.
