Exporting Closes the program

I've been using mcreator for a while now,

and I've got a mod I've created that i want to test,

but when i compile and export the file, trying to save the file to the desktop, or anywhere else in my pc, will automatically cause mcreator to close up.

thus no file is created in the process

i am not using spaces in the mod title

i am using version 1.7.3

please assist soon
