Item textures not showing up after the making

When I try to make an item texture, I go to the resource section and I select "Create item/block texture". When I am done with the item texture that I made, I save it then when I go back to the mod maker and try to use the item texture, it doesn't seem to exist. I suspect it is because my computer isn't in English so the items folder can't be read. Somebody please help, I've been suffering from this problem for years now.
