Download the new version of MCreator (1.7.9).

The older versions of it aren't good as the new one.

Try it and tell me if you can fix your problem with it :)

Feel free to make a mod for…

Feel free to make a mod for this, but it isn't necessary. Mojang is adding seaweed (plus swimming fish, dolphins, turtles, and other aquatic features) in the 1.13 update for Minecraft.

Not trying to discourage you; just saying that if you're looking specifically for seaweed, Minecraft is adding that already.

Guys, guys, guys, OP…

Guys, guys, guys, OP specifically said for Minecraft Version 1.7.10. That means that neither the newest version of mcreator nor the newest version of Minecraft are going to be of much use, unless you think you can just copy post-1.8 code into 1.7 Minecraft. (spoiler: you can't. There's a reason a significant part of the modding community remains on 1.7.10, and it's not for the aesthetic.)
