When I tried to open mcreator.jar inside the folder, it says only Java 8 is supported and I'm using Java 9. But when I ran java -version on terminal it said:
java version "1.8.0_201"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_201-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.201-b09, mixed mode)
I need help pls I would really like to use your software to mod minecraft!!! 😭
Should I delete the mcreator zip file and reinstall or what? I downloaded 1.8.2 since 1.8.3 was not close to working. I am running on macOS Mojave 10.14.2
AquaMixFlame:~ aidangaming$ open -e .bash_profile
AquaMixFlame:~ aidangaming$ source ~/.bash_profile
AquaMixFlame:~ aidangaming$ echo $JAVA_HOME
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_201.jdk/Contents/Home
AquaMixFlame:~ aidangaming$
This is what happened when I checked my JAVA_HOME. My java is 1.8.0
Use MCreator 1.8.3 and check installation instructions here: https://mcreator.net/install/mac
There is no need to do the things you listed.
